Hi all,
First of all thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

My setup is as follows...

MSI MEG Z490 ACE motherboard.
Intel 10700 CPU
2 x 16gb Corsair vengeance lpx ddr4
Arctic freezer ii 240mm AIO

My mb won't load. The ez debug LEDs... CPU light comes on, goes off. Dram comes on l, flashes then pc reboots. Can't even get into the bios.

I've updated the bios to the latest version using the bios flash button on the rear. I've pressed the clear CMOS button on the rear. I've removed the CPU battery overnight to clear any bios settings in case the clear CMOS didn't work.

I've removed the ram modules, installed one at a time and swapped positions but nothing.

I'm going to try and source some ddr4 modules I can swap in to see if it's my ram sticks.

Just before it all went wrong, I was in the bios and tried boosting the ram settings.

I'll upload a video of what's happening once it's uploaded to YouTube so I can share it.

I'm thinking the same thing. I tried setting the ram to run at 3200 Vs auto and tbh I can't exactly remember the rest. Rookie mistake
Without changing the DRAM voltage or using XMP? What is your RAM rated to run at?

That shouldn't (in theory) have bricked your motherboard, that would have been recoverable with a CMOS clear.

When did you flash the BIOS? The flash may have been bad, you could try an earlier version (assuming you only tried the latest).

Just enabling xmp or changing timings/frequency is unlikely to kill your ram and won't persist after clearing your bios. Voltage absolutely can though.

Can you remember what you were changing when it happened? Don't worry about looking stupid, we've all been there!

Thanks everyone for the help/advice. I managed to get it working.

Disconnected everything bar CPU AIO and mb power and by a process of elimination worked out what was wrong. Had to do with the power switch connector to motherboard

I'm 44 and I've been building since I was 12 lol
Just a momentary lapse in sanity
At least you managed to fix it without throwing money at it. :D
