Why does the GT has such a bad performance drop in a couple of titles that brings it on par with the 2900/GTS? and in about 1 game slower than both of em? 256bit interface? Less memory?

my mate works at a well know computer store. he was supposed to get some 8800gt yesterday but they never showed.....

May be joining you guys and getting a gt also my 1900xtx looks like its gonna quit on me. Today i was playing eve online and i started getting artifacts on screen my temp shot up to 101 for no reason as i don't have it oced. So rebooted temps were normal again but ran ati tool artifact finder and it was finding them every 5-30 seconds.

So Basically, the GT is Faster then the current GTS's, but will be slower then the new GTS's due out. It makes sense then.

EDIT: I expect people to post a lot on Monday. Maybe threads about, "OMGZ GT NOT WORKING?!~"

my gts is on the bay for a 3day auction and up to about £60 in 4 hours hopefully by tomorow ill have broken the £130 mark and ill be happy, then come release day ill be ordering a ocuk gt rejoicing in my luckyness and playing crysis not quite as cack as i was today

I'm thinking if you put it on the bay tbh time was up yesterday, I'll eat my shorts if anyone manages to get there 2900's sold for 170 now.

I don't think you understand the level of knowledge that surrounds 'bay' users. I saw Q6600's still selling well into the £240's up to 9 days after the Intel Price drop.
