Hey,

This looks like it could be a nice conroe board judging by the number of features, anyone know of any reviews on this board?

I was looking at this board too, if it's as good as the 939 MSI K8N Platinum was then it should be a good choice.

I'm currently looking at:

MSI 965 Platinum
Epox EP-5P965+ GLI
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3

Just ordered the Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 by what ive been reading its a good clocking board.

I am still trying to get my head around the new Conroe boards, but as far as I can see the 965 doesn't support and kind of Crossfire/SLI etc.

The MSI 975x Platinum Powerup edition looks like it may be a good one if you fancy crossfire support.

I'm personally going for a 965 based motherboard.
I don't particularly want X-Fire support - simply don't need it as it is not something that excites me.
This is the only real "missing" feature on the 965 over the 975.
The 965 however has the newer memory controller designed specifically for Conroe and the boards are a lot cheaper.

Got a review link for this mate? I was always under the impression that Gigabyte boards were bad for clocking, probs a different kettle of fish with Intel though.

Edit, just found the thread on XS, 483 fsb - wow.

Is that the DS3 or the MSI P965?

I was reading a thread over on XS this morning, some guy testing the board claims it can only do around 333mhz on the FSB.

DS3 - "Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3, Pretty good start "

Yep that review made my mind up this morning as i only needed a motherboard to finish my build, never had a Gigabyte before :)

Someone on there managed to do 500fsb, E6300 @ 3507.2MHz

Well i've changed my order from the badaxe to the Gigabyte DS4 now.. didn't really need all the extra crap on the badaxe and i've always quite liked Gigabytes.. the DS4 looks like a better version of the DS3 everyone seems to be enjoying.

Now i just need it and my Conroe to come in stock!
