It's easy to flat line the clock speed by raising the power to 20%, but this results in the card being at a constant 1.25v which my card could not handle as you may know from my posts in said thread. I'm hoping my card is replaced, which would mean mine was a one off dud, but I'm still worried they will deem my card fine and send me it back in which case I would not recommend it to anyone.
Running 1.25v is far from ideal even if you don't exceed 80 Celsius, hence the reason you and many others have flashed to a regular BIOS with lower voltage with lower more maneable temps along with decent overclocks too. If somebody is fine to tweak their card that's fine, some people just want to plug and play though with minimal fuss, in which case I wouldn't recommend any boost card including the HiS one.
