MSi wind for £230

I have the Medion Akoya mini (MSI Wind clone) the Wind is better as it has a 1 GB dimm soldered to the mobo, so if you add a 2nd one you have 2GB.
It also has an overclock button, the latest bios versions allow you to use more system memory for graphics too.
I did install the Wind BIOS on my Medion but it was far too scary and I though I had killed it! However it did unlock the overclocking feature.

Slightly old thread, but you can now find one of these for £199.99 and that's a really good price for a handy little netbook imho.

Yes thats about right for a netbook, better still win 7 basic and the new pine cpu plus good power useage for a 3 Cell.

Don`t forget this price is a short term offer and only in white or black.

How does the MSI machine compare with the Asus Pinetrail models. The Asus are a bit more expensive but look rather smart and are 6 cell batteries.

I have the MSI wind U130 bought on Sunday for £199 from a catalogue store (name is a greek god i think.....) the instore price was £229 but when i told them there website had it for cheaper they honoured it. I had one problem with it the plastic casing around the screen came loose so i exchanged it and they gave me a 10% discount so i got another £20 off so not too bad. I added another 1gb of RAM and installed windows 7 ultimate which works like a dream. im going to pick up a 6 cell battery 2mrw so im extremely pleased with the machine

They are availble at No competitors if you go to the website they have it there for £199 so you can either reserve & collect or if you do go into a store just make them aware of the price on the web and they will honour it for you

why not? is it because i have just mentioned another company, and i really should have mentioned overclocker?????? If that is the case i find it ridiculous
