hey everyone,
i dont normally send this sort of stuff out but had a look on the internet
and its actually true . On the 1st of november , we will have to pay for the
use of our MSN and email accounts unless we send this message to at least 18
contacts on your contact list. It's no joke if you don't believe me then go
to the site ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/1189119.stm ) and see for
yourself. Anyways once you've sent this message to at least 18 contacts ,
your msn dude will become blue. please copy and paste don't forward cos
people won't take notice of it.

---------------

just got this from a friend aint sure if its true but it doesnt say send it to loads of ppl to get it for free anyway?

what do u guys think?

the date on the BBC site is 25th feb 2001... so I will say no its not going to happen. If microsoft wanted you to send messages to 18 people on your list do you not think they would send you an email or message as opposed to hoping that word of mouth will sort it all out for them?

saying that I did once help a young girl get cured of cancer by forwarding a similar message on ICQ to 5 people on my list, and those five people were not even doctors at the time (although one was a vet, but I dont think he helped her). :)

Edit: wow i was slow, really slow.... but i got there in the end which matters...maybe.

Lol

I got that from a friend, so I promptly laughed in their face for their foolishness and deleted it :D

That's how you deal with chain emails!

Was the article fake? Or is it an archived real story? It sounds credible seeing as MSN do now offer a premium account with extras that you pay for (as do yahoo etc). I wonder if the article was dealing with this.

hehehehehehe my favourite is the one where the dead girl will come into ** bedroom while u sleep and kill u unless u forward it to so many people

.......... i haven't slept in 3 years just to make sure ..................... :D

I remember that dead girl one! One of my friends sent it saying she never normally does those (which she doesn't) but she just wanted to be careful.

Just go necro om her arse :p

That will teach her :D

Ive created my own chain letter for the gullible monkeys that fall for this kind of stuff. Sad I know but its annoying when you sign into your hotmail account to find that 20-30 of your friends have sent that same message to you

Why'd you even believe this for a second? It's quite obviously one of those stupid chain things, and why would Microsoft stop making their services free just because someone didn't send a message to 18 of their contacts? Use your head :o

So very true, I am constantly amazed by the fake/true threads.

Since when the forums take over from common sense?
