Bit of a weird one this.

Just discovered that my "turn on what you're listening to" feature dosen't work on MSN.

Tried with about 10 different files in Windows Media Player.

Thought it was a problem with MSN but I logged it and tried it on my laptop, and it's fine there.

Uninstalled it on my PC and redownloaded it/installed again and it's still not working.

Any ideas? No big deal because I don't use it, but i'd like it to actually work!

Chances are the plugin is disabled in Windows Media Player - this is necessary to communicate the track info to Messenger. It normally becomes disabled when Media Player crashes as a precaution. To enable, just click Tools>Plug-ins>Windows Live Messenger Music Plugin.

Hope this helps, null :)

for anyone interested (or anyone that uses a decent media player ;) )

winamp has a plugin for messenger too, its part of the mess.be patch for msn that removes all the adverts and crap from msn

I used that for a while when I was using Winamp. I recently became bored of Winamp, I think it's a bit too bloated for me (prefer proper Windowed applications, none of this skinable rubbish :p) and a week or two ago discovered foobar2000 which I've since switced to completely. Love it! :D There's plenty of plugins for it too, including an MSN one.

null :)
