MSN messenger help

Hi all, I need a bit of advice.
I've just been informed that my 12 year old niece has been in contact with someone on messenger, who has begun to ask her for explicit photo's.
I've been asked to see if I can find out how often contact has been made, but as I don't use MSN messenger, I'm not sure what logs are kept as default. I am sure that logs of conversations can be kept if desired, but I doubt if this is turned on as default.
Can anyone let me know what information may be kept in the logs, if any?

i am not sure whether the logs are kept as default, but they can deffinitely be switched on or off by the user.

They should be found in My Documents then in the My Received files folder.

Do you know if there is any saved history of when conversations have been started/ended, even if the contents are not saved?

No i dont think so, I think if there is no log then there is no time stamp for individual conversations either.

If she has switched logs on they will be in any folder she chose at the time.
There is no record if didn't switch logs on ass far as I know. Though, if she has Messenger Plus it does tell you when the last conversation was had but it doesn't contain any info about the conversation.
