It is a virus(?!) that sent a message "http://www.bo***.info/list" to all the contacts in Windows Live Messenger.

It is basically a "phishing" scam, simply to gain your MSN identity and passwords. My friend fells for it and she has it on her PC and it sends to all her contacts as well!

I have tried Spybot and other stuffs but they all failed to find any! Even removed Live Messenger and re-install...still no luck!

Any idea what should I do?

The strange thing is that if I googled for it, many results returned unrelated! I have tried HiJackThis, found nothing odd in it.

Even if I have found some results, all they say is change your password...doesn't say anything about removing it.

The thing about it is that if you click on it, then you will receive this virus(?) - it has been driving my friend and her contacts mad for months!

Nope, as it was going on for months, not much luck and I don't think deleting friends will work unless this msn virus(?) is removed.

Last time my friend's msn was infected, 'SuperAntiSpyware' removed it.
Spybot/Ad-aware failed.

EDIT: Scan in safe mode.

a colleague at work had it, it stole his account and logged in itself, to spam the links to people (kept coming up with someone has logged into another PC on this account) did a scan and changed his account password etc and never seen it since.
