Mt Drive is playing up! – ‘write protected’

I plugged my 2gig usb drive in and it comes up as ‘write protected’ I can’t delete or move stuff around, it comes up with please remove the protection.
I don’t seem to have any switches on the drive and it worked fine yesterday, any ideas?

noooooooooooooooooo! i have had this bad boy for 18months it's a 2gig and cost like £80 (i know times have changed)

- but it's soooooooo damn quick!
