MTB locations

I'm not convinced by the '10 best trail centres in scotland' guide on bikeradar. For a start i would remove Learnie and swap it for Laggan. That's not important though, because you wont be considering those places.
Glentress is great and Innerleithen is right across the road from it. There's also several of the other 7stanes trails within a couple of hours drive, so you could visit a few of them over a long weekend.

We have been to Cannock Chase before, although good I'm probably looking for something new. Wales is definitely an option as I live in Hertfordshire so less of a drive. Initially decided on Scotland as A I've never been there and B it looked like it had quite a few mixed ability trails.

We have a fairly good ability but mainly just weekend warriors so no pros :)

Glentress is a good 3hrs extra drive from Herts than South/North Wales. Glentress & Inners is THE best option. Add Kirroughtree and Ae if you have the time.

Agreed, Glentress, Inners, Ae, Kirrie and Drumlanrig are all cracking trail centres.

You could spend 2 full days at Glentress and not cover it all.

Yeah I agree, Learnie is nothing special and not worth the drive from down south.

Glentress is beyond amazing, by far the best place I've ever been.
