Just got back from Vegas and got loads of footage from my Pansonic HDC-TM10.

The files are MTS so what I need to know is what software do I use to join them and burn them so they can be played on a dvd player? I've got an HTPC myself so I'll be using that to play the files at home but want to burn a dvd for my mum to take home with her.

VideoReDo should be able to open and edit those files.

Works with many formats
MPEG1, MPEG2, Transport Streams (.ts), Windows MCE DVRMS files, Siemens M740AV .CRID files, and Topfield .rec files. The result is that VideoReDo TVSuite works with the widest variety of TV PVR and DVR formats.

edit I have it installed and VideoReDo TVSuite V4 is able to open .mts files. You can get a trial for a few weeks and see if it suits what you want to do.

The download link (if you want it) http://www.videoredo.com/en/Download.htm?download=tvsuitev4
