im wondering about getting the phennom 11 720 (2.8) or 955 (3.2). in some games i can use the 4th core so these willl see a big improvemnt. but will the other games that can only use 3 see any difference from 2.8 to 3.2? thanks
 
I believe that the 4th core can be unlocked on some of the X3s, which would turn your 720 into a working 920.
(small overclock and you've essentially got a 955 :p)

You should see an improvement from the 4th core on heavy, multithreaded games..and of course higher clock speed -> higher performance..
