and before anyone says why? its cause i want to see if i can get them all running no need at all just for the hell of it....

ok atm i have a multi boot screen showing

win7 64 on drive1

winvista64 both on drive 2
winxp32

ubuntu on drive 3

then thru bios boot manager i can select to boot into

win8 on drive 4

i want to be able to add win8 into the boot menu but cant seem to point the bootloader to win8 without loosing the abiity to boot to the others untill i remove the win8 install from the bootloader then all comes back to normal and i can boot into the originals again and win8 from bios boot manager

i also want to be able to run osx lion from another drive and enter that at sometime

any ideas ?

I'm not sure about the order you installed them, but if I recall correctly you should be able to use grub2 (from the ubuntu install) as the first boot loader, and then configure its menu to offer all the flavours of Windows

yes ive heard that but i have no idea how to write/instruct grub to do it grub cones up only when i select the ubuntu install thats all i know about grub i think a littlle research is needed on grub
