Im building up a triple monitor setup. Its going to be a gaming rig, and so far I have spotted two monitors that look like they would be a decent choice?

The two monitors in question are

*********************

And

**********

I have £150 per screen to spend, so if you guys know of any better screen to use for my setup any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd want at least 24", 1080P +, and the thinnest bezel that you can!

Thanks.

I agree about the links, just post description and price, I would be interested in the outcome of this topic as I'm looking for something similar.

Oops. Sorry guys... Had a bit of a mindfart there... ;)

Yeah, the two monitors i have seen are
Dell S2340L 23 inch Widescreen LED Monitor
And the
LG 23EA63V 23-inch IPS LED

Which of these is recommended?

I have up to £200 as of now. I dont want to spend more than £125 per screen ideally as i am going to be looking at getting 3 of these badboys! :P

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and advice would also be very welcome! :)

What am i doing wrong with my new sig? Im trying to get the BB code working for the OcUk/Steam pic?

If you can stretch to it, then check out Dell's new Ultrasharp - U2412H. It's a IPS Panel but has the thinnest bezel, perfect for Triple monitor.
Got 1 at the moment and have another 2 coming. Playing BF4 and have no problems with blur/ghosting.

I think this thread warrants a quote from here:

TN panels don't offer any practical responsiveness benefits over IPS with well-tuned pixel overdrive at 60Hz. Due to the heavy influence of eye movement on motion blur the pixel response times only have to be ~8ms or less for motion clarity that's as good as you'll get at 60Hz.

I second the recommendation to consider the U2414H. If it's anything like the P2414H you can expect responsiveness as good as it gets from a 60Hz monitor and the bonus of exceptionally slender bezels!

The bezel on that monitor seems a bit thick for 3 screens?

The dell U2414H seems like a decent monitor. Little on the costly side?

So the LG, With the IPS panel; would that be a no go for gaming?

When you (Or they) say "TN panels don't offer any practical responsiveness benefits over IPS with well-tuned pixel overdrive" What does that mean in regard to the LG? Ive never heard of Pixel Overdrive before? :)

OR

Should i wait for Nvidia's G-Sync tech to come out before blowing cash on a sweet monitor setup? (Im contemplating getting a 780Ti GHz)

(Im newish to monitors. This will be the 2nd - 4th monitor purchases!:))

It means if you're sticking with a 60Hz monitor, there is no advantage in going for a TN panel over a modern IPS when it comes to responsiveness. It depends to some extent on the model itself. This was mentioned below my quote, incidentally.

I must admit the Dell's are pricey. I wouldn't have got mine if wasn't for our Dell account manager doing a decent price. But they are worth it.
Caution Note with the Dell...they do not have DVI, either need use to use DVI-HDMI or active convertors for DVI-DP.

As for IPS and gaming, IPS Panel's have developed a lot since they were first released. Everyone bangs on about Response times, but as people have shown there is no definitive standard for testing. People would cry about the Dell being 8ms G2G and say it was no good, but from my testing with BF4, I can't see any problems.

Be careful when looking for thin bezels, as a lot of manufacturer's quote the bezel thickness but don't show that the image doesn't start at the edge of the border. They chop the lovely images on the monitors to appear as if they do. Look for actual reviews which show where the image starts on the panel.

If you are serious about the Dell let me know, as I could get some more in.

"Price From £209.00
excl. VAT, shipping"

I see what i did there. V.V

What would there be in terms of warranty, returns, etc?

Is this a limited time offer? it would probably be a month or two after Christmas that i have the cash. I may do it one at a time. So one in Jan, then another in Feb etc.

If it wasn't for Christmas id be able to get all 3... Bah humbug! :)

Well I can always check prices later on with our account manager, but she did say they allow some good pricing up to the 20th December.

As for Warranty/Returns etc, straight through Dell. Screen comes with 3yr Pro Warranty. I am just buying them for you :)

Hello Mr Stabby!

I will probably be looking at getting the 3 screens end of this month. Are you still able to get this offer?

I know they said up to the 20th Dec, but i thought id give you a poke see if you are able to get this offer again?

Cheers!

Jimmy,

Let me check with our Account Manager. I did get an email from Dell saying they was doing 20% off certain 23/24" monitors, but unforntunately the U2414H isn't in the list.
