Hey all,

I'm finding pretty much all my devices are usb c now, but the hubs I use to connect to the pc are still stuck at one or two usb c ports and the rest old style.

Does anyone know of any multi port usb c docks?!? Ideally I'd go nuts and have 16 x usb c ports and be done with it, but as many as possible is what I need!!

Any bright ideas welcome as it's hard to Google as 'usb c dock' pops up ones with one or two, so it matches the term, but doesn't filter out to 'pure' usb c docks!

This is my point - this only has one usb c port as far as I can see?? Is that a VGA adapter too????

They don't have to run at full speed*; they are allowed to run at plain USB 2 speed, or whatever the host (or hub) is capable of.

* Not to be confused with USB Full Speed, which is actually slow USB 1 speed.
Yes spot on - I'd got further and say hardly any of my devices need to run full power/speed, it's more the form factor that I need to avoid masses of usb c to old usb adapters....

You probably can't get lots of usb c ports on a hub due to the bandwidth limitations of having to many because they won't run at full speed.

What about a pcie card for your motherboard ?

ULANSeN PCIe Gen3 x2 USB 3.2 / 3.1 Card ASM3124- PCI Express to 4-Port Type C
Good thinking actually - I could get one of these and then get 4 to 1 adapters to get up to 16

Best idea so far I think!

There's plenty of 4 port usb c hubs on amazon
Can't link as ocuk Might sell them
Not looked yet
There's even one with 5 x usb c ports and 100w
Power delivery on one port
Most will be max of 10Gbs
So yeah what you want to Connect to them might matter
If they're not all high speed devices
Probably be fine
Pretty cheap too under £20
Ones from ugreen I have used their cables before
Are were pretty good quality for the money

Actually can't see multi port hub with only usb c ports
On ocuk
Though guess I might be looking in wrong place
Ooh, could you pm me that five port one??

Heheh, happens to us all.

Gone with two five port adapters which should work nicely- my Proart x670e has a decent number of ports, just getting them to the desktop without downgrading the speed too much was the challenge!

It is funny how out of sync devices and hubs are - ie new devices have almost completely migrated to usb c now, but Hubs still are sticking with one or two usb ports as the norm...
