I'm in the process of trying to sort myself out, I want to become a little healthier, I not fat, quite the opposite in-fact but that doesn't make me healthy, I released this the other day after doing some weights for the first time after years, man it was hard going, harrrrd, after that I tried some push ups and after 20 I was like :confused:wtf is wrong with me :o, so I've started eating better food and allot more of it atm, I'm eating allot of pasta meals, egg's, salads etc and healthy snacks in between, I'm drinking allot more water also and trying to cut down the alcohol a little,

Now the thing is I'm wondering what Multi-Vitamins would be best to take as there are so manny different types out there, is it worth even taking any? Do you guys use them ?, I'm also vegetarian so I was wondering if there are any vitamins that I should be taking to help compensate for the lack of meat/fish in my diet, any recommendations ?

holland and barrett abc plus multi vit
holland and barrett EPA fish oil concentrate
Protein 30g morning
3g creatine night with 30g protein

my current supplements

Biocare One A Day Vitamins and Minerals is a good one, been taking it for years. Most high street ones are a waste of time in my opinion as they contain tiny amounts of minerals such as iron, zinc and selenium, not enough to do anything useful.

I take Cod Liver Oil extra strength (Omega 3 with Multi vitamins)

Taken that for years but thats it

I take 1000mg Vit C tablets if I feel a cold coming on, usually do the trick

Mutli Vits
Omega 3, 6, 9
Vit D with calcium
Glucosamine with MSM
BCAA caps
L-Glutamine
Cytograiner 150g twice a day
Whey protein 50g twice a day
NO-Xplode twice a week.

wow,

I've read up on some of the above, quite interesting, I guess your bodybuilding then ?, how good is the Cytogainer ?, The NO-Xplode description made me laugh out loud,

"NO-Xplode: NO-Xplode will blow your mind! Looking to rev up those workouts? Looking to get so pumped you feel like your clothes are tearing at the seams? Get in on the very latest, the very best and the most popular Nitric Oxide, Pre Workout volumising compound avai

NO-Xplode is BSN's flagship product. Why, because bottom of the line, it is quite awesome in every way. Get mentally fired up! Get maximum pumps! Get maximum gains! Get massive and fast! You will feel like your body is exploding in a torrent of dramatic physique changing whirlwind."

sound like powerfull stuff :D.

I perfer to obtain my vitimins from food but Omega 3 and Vitimin C aren't a bad options as an extra.

They aren't a good way to subsitute for the real foods IMO. You should get some eggs down you (I sometimes drop 'em raw) as they are a good source of protein (complete protein), if you workout maybe whey protein. Pasta is good too, can't beat pasta. Looks like your becoming an alpha male.

Same here.

For the people taking seven seas cod liver oil, you best check the nutritional information, the EPA/DHA (Good Omega 3) amounts are so low, that taking gives you next to no benefits.

The H&B fish oil concentrate is probably the best, since they contain high amounts of the good omega 3.

I play football so have to workout every single day. The cytogainer is good, its given me some incredible strength gains and size gains. It tastes great too. All the hype about NOX is a joke. the fact of the matter is it gets blood going to the muscles, a avery important aspect to muscle development and growth. It doesn't make you bigger directly though.

I read somewhere recently that taking bottled vitamins was bad and reduced life expectancy/increased chance of heart attack. Will have to find where I read it.

Since you're a veggie omega 3 stuff would probably help but if you eat enough fruit and veg you shouldn't really need much in the way of vitamins.
