Are there any games that are currently setup to run on dual core/multi cpus?

Oblivion can be tweaked to use multicore to some extent. I think FEAR benefits from it too.

Older versions of Quake 3 do (up to around 1.17 or thereabouts iirc).

Nope, BF2 has issues with it sometimes though.
