Multimedia Build Spec?

Hey there,

My friend would like a PC mainly for doing some music/singing recording with a bit of editing. She's unsure on a budget at the moment, but said she doesn't want to sacrifice quality for savings.

Pretty sure we need everything except a monitor and case. Is there any specialist hardware needed for decent recording? She has mics from a studio she works at.

Any thoughts? :)
 
No quite sure what to recommend. I don't know much about whether she'd need some specialist equipment. Perhaps a good sound card?

This is a relatively cheap build with plenty of storage, a sound card and an i3 CPU.

It really depends what sort of budget it is? Obviously an i5/i7 would be better, and perhaps an SSD.

I would have thought, if your friend works in a music studio, she would have some idea of her requirements.

When I say work, I meant doing her own recordings, not employed :p She just wants to be able to record work and send to her producer instead of paying for studio time constantly.
