Multiplayer games that will run on low end system?

A friend of mine has an old computer and I would like some suggestions for some older multiplayer games or newer indie games that we could play together.
He has a 3ghz Pentium 4 2gb ram and a 9800pro gfx card. I remember I used to play company of heroes on medium settings on a similar system and bf2, but i'm open to suggestions.

Could try Battlefield Heroes, which has very low settings and is OK for a blast every now and then.

Trackmania's a good shout and I'm sure there's still a free version available. There's also Unreal Tournament and Wolfenstien: ET

Frozen Synapse is great, 2 for the price of one and should run on just about anything.

Wow! Really love to get into Wolfenstein again, had some great games on that.
