Just a little question i did google but not much came up, when i buy FPS games i only play the multiplayer of said game, personally i think it is allot of money to spend on a game and only use part of it, so is there anyway to just buy multiplayer keys and not play the single player side of games these days ?

I don't think so. It largely depends on the company. I know EA will sell you an "on-line pass" for some of their games (usually around £10), but only for consoles and only if you already have the disks.
Edit:
I mean, you will be authorized to play on their servers, but will still require the normal crap you need for the game.
IE: Get a cheap 2nd hand copy of game, and buy onlnie pass w/o needing to pay full retail price.
