Hello there. I have a laptop with a bluray drive which I connect to my tv so my two youngs boys can watch movies on. However, this means I can't use my laptop for the duration of the film. I was curious, could I have a multiple monitors setup that allows me to play a movie on my tv and still browse the net on my laptop display? I had a little play around and couldnt work it out. Im running W7 64bit if thats any help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

What software are you using to play movies?
If you are using XBMC, you can set it to maximise as a window rather than go full screen, this will release the laptop screen for you to use
To control XBMC, you can get an app (certainly for Android) so they would be able to play/pause/ff/rw and select what movie/tv show they wanted to watch

I use VLC at the minute. Is there a way to have the TV as a seperate desktop where I can drag the movie box onto that display then play?

Just need to bump this. Ive been playing CS on my laptop screen but its too small, so ive bought a bigger monitor. Ive got the displays extended so I can do separate things on the displays, however I can't seem to get CS to play on the monitor. In the past ive just dragged one window onto the next display and then carried on what I was doing, but this doesnt seem to work with CS. Any ideas?
