Im on a small mission so require views and suggestions on what to buy for the following please!

White emulsion - Ive seen Leyland mentioned quite a lot in here?
Wallpaper paste - anything decent that will keep the joints nice?
Pasting table? Do I need one to do one wall?
Garden weed membrane - going to whack some gravel down on the front so wondering if there is a good membrane I can get or are they all much of a muchness?
 
Painted my whole house using screwfix trade emulsion when it was on offer at 2 for £20. Was told its the same as leyland.
Excellent coverage. Forget the cheap rubbish from other diy sheds, its like water.

Stay away from the "cloth" stuff that's popular in B&Q and the like this time of year, it's pants. The woven plastic stuff like this won't disintegrate at the first sign of rain.
 
White emulsion, not used Leyland but Dulux Trade is great and Johnstones Covaplus gets rave reviews

I used the fabric membrane for weeds 2 years ago and they haven't come through yet

I just repainted the whole house in pretty much all the Johnstone range - covaplus, acyrillic eggshell and soft sheen.

Covaplus is good for ceilings but I found that (and probably with most matt emulsions) if you rub it even lightly it leaves a mark, not a dirty mark but a shine on the paint work. So walls on the stairs and living room are starting to show, doesn't help when I have 2 young children.

Coverage was good on all 3 paints and it wasn't that expensive for 5 litre tins.
 
White emulsion I always use Dulux trade super matt it is a lovely paint to use.

Weed membrane I got plastic woven stuff on ebay for my allotment and it was excellent
 
I used Covaplus Vinyl Matt through the downstairs of my house and it was really nice to apply and very good value for money. Highly recommended.
