I recently decided to upgrade from a single monitor to a dual set-up with two LG W2246's that were recommended by a friend. However, I never noticed the fact that they are VGA monitors.
After a couple of days finding out that my GPU (6850) only supports one VGA adapter I went down the road of DisplayPort. With this leaving a free DVI port I thought why not try 3 monitors with my old one as well (Samsung T200).
This was all working fine for a few days and now the LG monitor running through displayport has decided that it isn't capable of 1920x1200 anymore and can now only go up to 1600x900.
I did read somewhere that DisplayPorts max resolution has something to do with bandwidth but surely that would have shown up when I first tried it rather than waiting a few days.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
