Multiple reboots on power on?

Hi,

My new rig seems to be acting up. When I press the power on button, the PC will restart multiple times before finally displaying the post and bios screen and booting normally. (no error beeps at all through all this)

Any idea whats going? From what I've been reading it seems like it could be failing POST due to to little power? Do I need to get a replacement PSU or is there something simple I can do?

Here's the specs if that helps at all:

The PSU Should be ok,

I didnt think you'd get issues with the B3 revision but these are some of the things I needed to do when the board first came out and may help;

RAM: Move to A1 B1 slots
RAM: Press an hold small button on mobo next to ram for it to recognise the new RAM
GPU: place in 2nd PCI-e slot
CPU Fan: Move a fan to the CPU header.
CLRTC -> Remove power cable for 5mins remove mobo(CMOS) battery 5-10mins and then switch the RAM jumper from standard (pin1+2) to Clear (Pin2+3) for 10-15sec and place back. This has helped solve several issues.

Possible Corrective Actions
BIOS: BCLK = 100

RAM: 1333MHz;
In BIOS advanced: Ai Tweaker tab > Ai Overclock tuner > Manual
Memory Frequency > 1600mhz

If no result try altering voltage
(stay below 1.6 if possible):
Ai Tweaker tab > Ai Overclock tuner > Manual
Memory Frequency > 1600mhz
DRAM Voltage (scroll down to see it) > Set the voltage

I hope some of that helps you out - let us know :)

What does it actually do on boot up? If you're overclocking some boards do a 'double boot' as a precaution. Look at the led indicators on your board if it has any.

I'll try Nytramx's suggestions later when it's not 6am :P

The double boot precaution would be the best case scenario, but googling about it for my board has yielded no results.

So far it seems to restart 3 or 4 times on cold boots, displaying nothing on the screen until finally reaching POST/BIOS on the 3rd or 4th. I Haven't tried counting yet or checking the motherboard leds, will do so when I attempt fixing later today, if there is anything to fix. All fans/case fans and leds turn off between boots.

So far apart from the multiple boots there has been no ill effects, but I'm just worried that it is indicating troubles with my hardware. I'll double check all connections when I look at it later today too.

Disconnect all fans and leds except for the cpu fan and see if it does it boots first time. What PSU are you currently using?

It might also be helpful telling us what your full PC spec is including case.

My pc does the same thing.

Asus P67 Sabertooth
i5 2500k
2x msi FrozrIII 6950
8gb Kingston Hyper-x blue 1600mhz
Tagan BZ 900w modular psu.

It's probably some kind of overclock protection. My last pc did it too with a Gigabyte EP45 Extreme mobo.
