Multiple setup display issue

Ive just bought an Asus PG329Q monitor using a displayport cable from my graphics cards (980 Ti`s).
I also have an Asus PG348Q monitor, again displaying over a displayport cable.

When I turn off the PG329Q (my main monitor) the display switches to the PG348Q as the main. Do you guys know of any work around from this other than changing out the displayport cable to the PG348Q to HDMI as this is how I previously run my monitor setup with no issues. Unsure if there is anything that can be done within the driver side of things.

Cheers

The only way I know to do it is to change to an hdmi cable.

Yeah just changed out the cable to my PG348Q to a HDMI and the same thing is happening. Must be an issue with the way my new monitor powers off forcing windows/Nvidia swapping to the secondary monitor instead of keeping it as secondary.

Oh, no, I thought it was the other way round. The HDMI does not report when the monitor is off but the DP does. So if you switch off a DP monitor then Windows messes about but if you turn off an HDMI monitor then it doesn't even know it's off.
