Murray v Nadal

Murray leads 4-3* in first set.

Murray played very well against Nalbandian yesterday (even though he was poor) while Nadal was very average against Kohlschreiber who had his chances.

I think Murray will have him today, this is his best surface and often beats Nadal on it.

6-3 Murray with 8 aces and some very aggressive forehands.

Nadal looking very exposed on this surface. If they hadn't slowed the grass down to suit Nadal's game perfectly then Murray would've beaten him at Wimbledon as well.

Aye, just caught him breaking Nadal in the first set.

His first serve percentage in the first set was still only 45%. 8 aces though

Not sure I agree with you regarding the grass comment.

But it is good to see him trying to dictate the play and hopefully he is coming into form for the U.S open.

Nadal took some gambles with some huge forehands and found the lines. He won't able to keep that up for long.

Considering Murray favours hard courts and Nadal hates them he's doing pretty well to keep up with him. Good set.

Nadal doesn't like the fact that the hard courts take the most out of your body compared to the other surfaces.

As I said earlier, Nadal gambled on a few huge forehands and he strung 3 games together but now normal service is resumed

Agree. Don't know whether he'll ever adapt to the surface enough to win the US Open but he's doing better at this stage in his career on hard courts than Federer did at the same stage in his career on clay.

Yeah Federer was rubbish on clay earlier in his career. I mean all those French Open finals and 1 semi final is nothing compared to Nadal's consistent success on... oh wait.
