Muslins vs seamless white paper backdrops

I read that as "Muslims vs seamless white somethingorother" and thought I'd clicked on GD instead of Photography :p

No idea on your question, sorry!

Paper is easy to keep clean as you just tear off anything you get dirty or creased. Cloth may crease easy so needs to be transported neatly. But, is usually lighter for the amount you'll need.

No problem. Quick and basic info, but sums them up simply. Paper (if you're doing it properly) is probably more of a faff to set up too.
That's me camera friends opinion based on years of photography, which I hope help y decide. :)

Depends, are you travelling on foot, bike, car or plane ;)

'Standard' roll = 2.72 x 11m, car sized rolls are 2m wide but buy the 2.72 and cut it down with a fine toothed saw (works out cheaper and you have some seamless spare for product shoots). You'll need background supports e.g. stands and crossbar, some weights on the stands won't hurt either.

*all this assumes you're indoors

paper or vinyl. muslin is/looks crap. none are very portable. if quality is important nothing can beat a dedicated studio.
If you don't need full length, then a popup backdrop is portable and look pretty good. It can be simply stood against a wall if indoors, no need for dedicated stand.
Alternatively a white wall will do.

No. It will crease. It's the creases that make muslins look like amateur crap.
That size vinyl will be seriously heavy. I think you should let people know what you intend the end result to be.

I'l get that portable one then. seems like it will do the job.i'll just inform the model that i cant be lugging around a seamless background plus stand with me!
