Must Have Operation Flashpoint Mods

Hi

I just got Operation Flashpoint GOTY Edition and so far am loving it, however just wondering what mods I must download because I see loads of mods for it and 99% of mods or total conversions are not that good. So am asking for your expert opinion :D
Also is there a mod that makes the island into like a free roaming game, because the game seems very capable of a mod like this

ahh good old flashpoint, Ive been thinking of installing that on my new and improved system but for some reason I decided against it. Theres still some big fansites up which have new mods added often.

Also theres a star wars mod which looks decent. I had an idea for a mod, but never the ability and knowlage of the game to make it, a free roaming zombie mod, where your a survivor and theres army bases and guns that you can go around and find.

try google for finding sites and mods for it, im sure you will get some good results.
 
I'd just like to get OFP running on my system. Now matter what I do it refuses to work! The initial menu is choppy as hell, and if by some luck I do get into the game it runs at around 1fps and is totally impossible to play.

Try switching back to the desktop (alt tab) and then again to get back into the game. I found this resolved it for me. it's something to do with the graphics drivers I think.
 
I haven't played it for ages but there are literally thousands of modded units. One of my favourite was the "Sebnam 2" Vietnam mod. It was great fun when combined witht the napalm mod :D
