Ive had a bluray player for a while now but have never really started a collection. Xmas is coming and im thinking of treating myself to a few.

I already own;

300
Cloverfield
Watchmen

I like pretty much anything, inc box sets, I was thinking of getting band of brothers as its £17 with amazon atm !

Recommend away !

Thanks.

The Thing, looks brand new like it was just made, cracking film.
Terminator Salvation great quiality picture and sound and good action film.
Transformers, not over keen on the film but good for picture quality and sound to show off.

Planet Earth
Blue Planet

Nature shows in general can look amazing in Blu-Ray.
Unfortunately the Planet Earth Blu-Ray is missing a load of content that the DVD has.

Blade Runner
2001
Dark Knight
Planet Earth
Life
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (really good transfer imo and a great film)
Wall-E (if not for the visuals rather than the movie)
King Kong (haven't seen it all, buy I seen a bit of it on ITV HD and it was some of the best HD content I have seen. Movies ain't that great, but it looks amazing)

Battlestar Galactica : The Complete Series
Sunshine.
Casino Royale.
Band Of Brothers.
Baraka
The Fall.

The Early Bond movies also look and sound superb on blu,the transfers of Dr No,From Russia With Love and Goldfinger have all been given the utmost care and attention and the results, considering the age of the original prints are nothing short of miraculous.

Super hero movies love or hate 'em,can't knock the sound and video quality of them though,Batman begins,The Dark Knight and The 2 Hell Boy films are faves of mine!

I'd also recommend Pans Labyrinth from Guilemerro Del Toro director of the Hell Boy films,a visual feast and a beautifully told story.
