1. me and a few freinds went to buy the game at night some have already payed for the game

2. you cant pre order a game from asad the was a chance they would not have any in stock/like a mate of mine who when the next day to game/gamestation/tesco out of stock no asda near me...

3.the game at tesco was only £5 cheaper and at game/gamestation mw2 cost 55 for about a week or two

I dont know much about this DLC but is it guaranteed that you're all getting lumped together with matchmaking, or will the matchmaking seperate people with and without, as that would be obvious.. but so are dedicated servers for first person shooters.

try finding a new game with a group of 5 freinds all being kicked the joining a group just to be kicked again... if u have ever tryed playing cod 4/ cod waw with out the map packs you will know what i mean :)

Morissons had it for £26 the week of release, Tesco and Sainsburys had it for £27 (I think).

After a week they all started to sell it for £40 or £45. Not many people got it that cheap as the supermarkets sold out most of their copies in the 1st day.

I am sure the vast, vast majority of people who bought it payed £50 or £55 for it, as that is what high street games shops sold it form where most of the sales (and allocation) go.

As already said paying £55 for the game is stupid when you could get it from most other places for at least a tenner less - if you want to pay more to get the game 9 hours before the rest of the country thats up to you.. There is no sense in paying £55 to get a reward discount off another inflated priced game. These days hardly anyone with common sense pays RRP.

I do wish they would add acheivements for the dlc - even if it was fun ones that people wouldnt need to boost for etc... more people who like achievements would probably get it then.... The DLC isnt even out yet so those thinking about waiting for a discount - see you in anything from 6 to 12 months! This game is hot property, one of the most popular current gen games so Activision or whoever know people will buy the dlc at launch.

The dlc is 1200 points - you can get 2100 points online for £15 so its roughly just over half so £7.70 or something (I dont know what the RRP of these things is!?!). Thats hardly going to break the bank for someone who obviously loves the genre enough to pay through the nose for it...

£55 at Game gives you about £1.25 worth of rewards. So you're saving £1.25 on the RRP.

You were willing to pay an extra £30 just to get it 7 hours earlier? Jeez. :rolleyes:

Anyway, back on point...you are right. Activision deliberately made the RRP £55 because they knew it would still sell by the truckload at this price. They are also doing the same with the DLC as they know people will pay 1200MSP for it.

Personally, I paid £28 for the game 2 days after release, and I wont be buying the DLC until it comes down to 400-800MSP.

It would appear that in your fit of rage you are unable to read properly. No wise chump pays RRP for a game, I certainly didnt. I paid a whopping £26 and got it on release day. I won't be buying the DLC though, 1200msp for 3 new and 2 re-hashed maps is a joke. However there are those people that will buy it and aslong as they carry on shelling out for overpriced content publishers will be laughing.
 
If you look on your beloved retailers site now, they are doing it for around £27. You could pick up a bargain if you're quick.

You also get reward points too!

Is this MW2 map pack out yet? Just out of interest, as it may have changed, probably not.

So it happened on the other call of dutys and yet you still lap up the new 1, theres a reason companys keep shafting customers, because they come back time after time so why not?
Why dont you lads find a new game, you obviously have more money than sense!
 
All I got from the original post is that Halo 3 <> Modern Warfare 2.

It's like buying a graphics card which came with a free game, and living with the expectation that every time I buy a graphics card I should get a free game with it. And expecting that all manufacturers should price cards the same. Well, maybe no the best analogy, but sure you get the jist.
 
i payed about £25 my self because of my reward card plus a game i traded in if u idiots learned to read what i posted! and i could not change plans i made me and freinds we had 6 TVs around his house incluing mine all preorderd the game from GAME. nothing there could be changed learn to read before you post stupid things that make no sense and are not ture... now am i going out good bye

I was making a piont how much the cod DLC costs not halo vs mw2 i was going to use call of duty 4 or WAW but that might have got confusing

You will probably find you're the one who doesnt make too much sense with all your random posts.
Anyway... You got it for £25, but used a game to trade in, and I think you are trying to say you used money off that you got with your reward card... its difficult to understand you.
If I could go buy a jacket for £25-£30 in one shop, or use clothes vouchers worth £20-£30 in another and get it for £25 I think I would probably take the £25..
You used £55 worth of assets to purchase it at the end of the day.

Ok so you're dripping that a company that are now known for exploiting their popular game for maximum profits with no respect for the fans/customers are trying to profiteer and its going to inconvenience you, even though you and your mates inconvenienced yourselfs by all pre-ordering at possible the most expensive retailer for the game and planned an all nighter or something round one's house, for a game that wouldnt be out till midnight - Its a shame your Game got a delivery, I would have loved to see what kind of posts you would have given us if they had not received a delivery.
 
Geniune question.

How do other people know you haven't got the DLC. Does it flag you up in the lobby as not having the new maps or will they just not come up in the rotation if someone doesn't have the map pack?
