I know there's an official thread but I thought this was important enough to warrant it's own thread..

Bad news for those waiting for Modern Warfare 2 for the PC! By the looks of it, it has been delayed a full 2 weeks...

Today Electronic Theatre » has brought to our attention that Activision-Blizzard updated there release schedule. Bad news, the Modern Warfare 2 release date for the PC has been changed to November 24th, two weeks after the supposed simultaneous release.

With the revelation of a new release schedule from Activision-Blizzard this morning, highlighting the publishers autumn/winter line-up, Electronic Theatre can today confirm that the PC version of the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has suffered a delay. Originally due for a simultaneous release with the rest of 2009’s Call of Duty onslaught, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will now officially be late to the party.

No official reason has yet been given for the delay.

Boo hiss etc.

This means the stupid people at work will be proclaiming about how their consoles are so much better than the pc again :(

Ah well, it's not like I'd be able to play it on release anyways and there is Left 4 Dead 2 to fill the void.
 
Well, this might be true. But, no one on the official IW boards have neither confirmed or denied it.

Hope it's not true, been waiting like a dog on heat for this.
 
I hope its not true. Got my time off work authorised already..

Total PITA simply to garner extra cash from the console types.

Not impressed if this is the case.
 
Delayed just for a minimum period of console exclusivity, then we get the console version for pc,...err sorry we get the "PC" version with an xbox 360 logo scribbled out in the top corner of the box.

Im more suprised it hasn't gone the way of alan wake and go console exclusive with devs citing bs reasons while wearing fur coats with the price tag still attached.
 
I heard about this earlier and my very first thought was, It's to get people who can't wait to buy the more expensive console version. I think every one i know owns a PC and console and wants to buy MW2. Sneaky imo.
