MW2 - group sizes?

We have a group of us from work that play together on MW2. But a few more have got PS3's and now we have eight players.

What happens if we join a room as a party, does it split you into groups or can you not join together?

If you cant is there a way to join together other than joining the game as some of us will miss out?

I think it'll put you all in the same party and keep you there - if you join a match where some of you would be left out, the IWNet will find another match where all of you can fit there, like 8v8 with you and your friends against a bunch of strangers.

So I think - I haven't been online in a while.

Does that mean we would only be able to play certain types of games?

Is there a way so that we could create two groups and join eachother?

i think the only real way is to go against each other, set up a private match and have 4 vs.4 or something like that.

If you have 8 in a party it will only let you join ground war.

As Knives said, i think it splits up your group if there isn't enough room in the lobby.

I am hoping it does split us up. Would be even better if it does it randomly each game. Then we arent on the same sides all the time.

I am sure it does because I am sure i have joined games where everyone except me were in the same clan before.

if you don't want to be on the same team,. go in the same party but have two different clan tags, it should put you in the same game but the clan tags will put you on different teams

Does that only work if there are a lot of you though?

It won't split you up. As said it will only let you join ground war which are 9v9 games
