MW2 save data, windows 7?

hi i will be reinstalling windows 7 soon, due to new HDDs, and was wondering will steam hold my save game data, so when i resinstall steam and downlaod MW2 again, itll remain, or do i have to manually back it up?

If so, where is the save data held?

It'll be in your SteamApps folder, if you copy that elsewhere (separate HDD) then copy it back after reinstalling Windows 7 you'll be good to go. That's all I did and it worked perfectly.

Steam stores all your Single Player and Multi Player saves in the cloud, I have recently reformatted and can confirm this is true.

Personally I would back up your user folder and just merge it into the new one you create when you format, to be safe on other game saves etc.
