im downloading the free trial now but its taking ages to dload,is this game worth buying, ive heard so many negative veiws,i own mw1 and love that game.

I can't see myself spending £30+ on it. Maybe when it drops in price I'd consider it. For the moment I think that BFBC2 is a much better game. It doesn't feel right running around and not being able to put a hole in a wall to reach your destination.

i own bc2 but there is no search & destroy in mp, and i dont like endless respawning in deathmatch,

I mainly bought it for the single-player with no interest in the multi-player but felt it wasn't really worth the £20 I paid for it.

The single-player is okay, but nothing new. It's more frantic and messy than modern warfare 1 and felt very disjointed and non-sensical. Probably your best bet is to wait for it to appear cheaply in a shop somewhere as it will activate through Steam anyways.

Mw2 Single player is great and every PC gamer fps fan should play it.

Mw2 Multi-player is "great" ... BUT! constant disconnects/aimbotters/timeouts/cheating scum spoil it, its a great game executed terribly due to game finding/p2p system.

I agree - it's a brilliantly honed game, but they made a right hash of things with the server situation.

MW2 is a good game but it won't go down in price. Take a look at MW1, the price on that is still £39.99.

Playing the game online can be a bit frustrating at times but the single player is really good.

MW1 is still that price because both the mp and sp are great. see how long people are willing to pay full price for 6 hours of sp in mw2 and naff mp.

Big fan of both MW1 + MW2

MW2 is slicker, and the games are very short, everything feels like a sprint, I am used to 20min a round on MW1, but MW2 it is always very quick.

What MW2 does do is bring the collector out in me, I am constantly trying to do silly manoeuvres (such as sticking a semtex to someone so as to blow it up next to some one else) so that I get an xp reward, which is pretty pointless, but they reward me with a shiney badge next to my name. All MW1 gave me was a golden gun after hours and hours of constant headshots.

What ever you do don't buy WaW.

I did not get on with MW2 for the 1st week, but then I got to understand it a bit better. Fine you don't get dedicated servers, but you also don't end up playing against some lagger from New Zealand who thought this was a good server to try.

I've just played some MW2 and I have had no Lag issues and the game seems good for it's MP component.

however it's Arcade style, lots of gimmicks, so it is fun, but you probably won't be playing it in long streaks like you can with BC2.

MW2 is console made and arcadie...the guns have virtually no recoil and the maps are tiny kill boxes, its also spammy due to the lack of recoil and short range engagements...oh yeah and those moronic kill streaks...

BC2 has guns that actually recoil with some significance, destructable terrain, vehicals, well designed big maps, better classes and more interesting game play.

and dedi servers...so people being ****s/hacking are removed pretty fast (if you find a good server)

i loved MW1 hate MW2 and love BC2 (i know its kinda obvious) but BC is just a better shooter for the PC overall.

Dont waste your money on MW2...
apart from the ghey server issues ,
it cant hold a candle to BC2 its in a totally different league
