MW3 freezing

Is anyone else having issues when trying to start MW3 Single Player ( not tried Online Play )? , It freezes my PC I get a BSOD and I have to reboot my system ..could it be a Steam issue ?.

I'm gonna install MW2 and see if I get the same issue....fingers crossed :)

I notice you are running a GTX 560 Direct CU. The exact same card i am. The 5xx series of cards are said to not been to keen on these latest set of drivers for many people.

With the latest 301.42 drivers i had overheating problems along with other glitches. I have since gone back to 285.62 driver's without a single problem.

So may be try some of the older driver's to see if it helps in your case. Make sure to Driversweep inbetween though.

Ahh ok...I'll give that a whirl thanx :)
 
There is another possibility - COD games always used to have an issue with the microphone/recording (they still have a pretty poor implementation) - especially on some realtek sound hardware if you didn't have a mic plugged in or recording setup properly it could cause all kinds of issues on starting up.
