MW3 tips/tricks you probably aren't aware of

Sorry you've lost me. I don't see how what perks you have affect how much XP you get?

And it seems from your last post you're saying hardline last is better, but earlier you were disagreeing with me. It's kinda hard to follow.

How am I saying that? I've said with Hardline last (your system) you delay earning your first 3 perks by one (and also bonuses). Do you not understand that? It's your terminology.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

With your system do you earn a perk and bonus at one? No the first one actually comes at 2 and by putting a non Hardline Perk in Tier 2 and calling it 0 you're robbing Peter to pay Paul.
With your system do you earn 3 perks and bonuses at 5? No you must get to 6
With your system can you earn assist counts as kill before 6? No because you don't earn Hardline Pro until 6.

If you don't understand that the numbers don't lie at best your system might not cost you XP at worst it throws it away. In fact the more you struggle in a game the better the Hardline Pro tier 2 system is.

But if you are not worried about XP? Having assassin pro instead of hardline pro initially makes you a better killing machine :D

Assassin is the most essential perk in the game thanks to the amazing idea of giving all these dole spongers constant UAV support with their bent little support list (I remember CoD4 having less UAV's even though everyone had the exact same killstreaks). I would love to run other perks like Hardline, Blast shield and Overkill on my non-specialist classes, but I can't because I don't want to appear as a constant moving target on the radar.

No one is stopping you except for your own need to go flawless or die as little as possible. You're only a constant moving target if you get tagged by a Recon Drone and Assassin can't help you there.

You know the score in other CODs once you start rinsing the other team with your UAV and heavy killstreaks it's pretty difficult for them to even get a UAV up.

I've changed my specialist class now since I've seen the light :) I rarely get assists playing hctdm so not having hardline on at the start isn't an issue for me. So thanks to the OP for pointing out the blindingly obvious that I missed.

The only thing I dislike about running specialist is friggin stalker when you get all the perks. I can't use it anymore since I've stopped running about like a madman with a sub machine gun. It feels like it ups the sensitivity on me and makes ads aiming far too twitchy.

It isn't just assists though you need to go 6 kills or more before dying every time without fail or flawless not to benefit from starting with Hardline.

But at 4 kills ill have the perks I would usually have got at 5 since I can use assasin to replace hardline.

Instead of Assassin at 1 kill I can start with it, meaning I get slight of hand at 2 kills whereas it would have been 3 before, then at 4 I get Quickdraw whereas it would have been 5 with hardline. Yes the only reason I put hardline on at 6 so I only need one more kill to get all perks, I could replace it with something else but there's nothing that really screams out for me to use.

Oh god no not again. Ok you prefer not to earn extra XP fair enough you only mentioned assists as your reason for not running it that is all.

Wow sorry I didnt read the whole thread and didnt realise I was reopening a can of worms :D

I didnt realise running hardline nets you extra XP, I assume you mean towards level progress rather than in game score because of all the "Get Assassin X times" etc? Im nearly always using new guns or attachments anyway to do the challenges so my average XP would be fairly high anyway...

Stalker is one of my favourite perks, always have it on! But I'm still in my 'headless chicken with an SMG' stage :p

I used it at the start, but found that flying round a corner meant i was usually too fast to see the **** lying down behind the bins or whatever and would be killed. Ive slowed down now and generally use assault rifles and my come round a corner to being instantly dead ratio has greatly improved :)

Have to say the delayed devices from Stalker Pro was really handy though, but I replaced it with Sitrep so it doesnt make much of a difference.

yeah you just have to assume there is a camper round every single corner, because the second you assume otherwise know what happens? that is right, camper shoots you in the back as you pass, god damned horrible dirty camping buggers! but worse of all is when you get killed by a sniping camper, only to find out the game seems to think its a great idea to spawn you in his line of sight a couple of times, so couple more deaths for you! :(

On my specialist setup I run HL pro then first kill Assassin.
If I spawn and there is a UAV up then thats great because that's the first point I need to get Assassin. I run stinger on all of my Specialist setups for this sole reason.
