MX-5 Project log thread

Well after much deliberation I've finally bitten the bullet and put it up for sale. It just doesn't get a whole lot of use nowadays and with priorities shifting and the need to save more money, it's an expensive toy to sit on the driveway 5-6 days a week. It's been fun and it'll sure be painful to see it go :( (assuming someone buys it, lol)

:(

Got a link?

Would you not be better off splitting it up a bit? Those wheels and the super charger would be worth a lot more not on the car?

Completely unrelated but would the SC and it's bits fit on my MK2? ;)

Nooo :( Or are you going to buy an Elise instead? ;)

Nope :(
Not right now anyway

I don't think the value would be much different either way to be honest, certainly based on what I've seen other 'charged MX5s up for.

And the SC would, yes ;) You'd need to source mounting and pipework 'n stuff though.

Just link the advert, its clear your not advertising the car on here. If a fairly decent standard of poster posts a lot about their car for a long time, they are clearly not just here to spread the advert, similar to how Housey could post his RS4 advert all day long.

Just out of interest, how much for the Supercharger parts and what else would I need for my mk2 1.8?

Fair point about Housey etc, I just didn't wanna rock the boat!

The ad is here: http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95968

I've got someone coming to look at it tonight if the weather holds out.. Which it doesn't look like it's going to at the moment :(

I don't really know what's required for a 1.8 conversion tbh, it's a Jackson Racing kit with the Eaton M45 charger, I guess you'll need brackets, tensioners / pulleys, a belt, associated pipework and management.
