Mx100 and Parted magic

Hi guys i got my Mx100 120gb but tried to secure erase it with parted magic but parted magic dosent see it as a internal Drive only as a external drive so anyone else with the mx100 have the same issue ?

will it let you secure erase it still? sometimes you have to enter sleep mode in parted magic

Not at the moment as when it wakes from sleep i get no video but that might be because my board is new AM1H-ITX and needs a bios update.

I mean in parted magic,theres a sleep option and it allows you to secure erase the disc

yes this is after it sleeps in parted magic

EDIT: a normal format should be sufficient,trim will sort out any lost perfomance

If you are doing this because of performance and its not getting the TRIM commands just unplug the SATA cable and turn your PC on and leave it over night as it will TRIM after 6 to 8 hrs.

I am just trying to get my drive to work in parted magic looks like i need a new bios for the board to get things working properly.

Anyone else use parted magic on there MX100 ?
