mx4 thermal compound help

just a quikie before I build my rig tomorrow,
what is the best way of applying mx4?
a picture would be very helpful thanks

Just put a tiny pea sized blod in the middle of the CPU and the weight of the heatsink as you tighten it down will spread it, never had any problems using this method.

Apparently the pea size method is considered the best although I am using horizontal line method for my Q6600 as recommended

ahhh.but is it a birds eye frozen pea or a garden pea
