Just wondering whether any of you who own or owed the original have purchased this?

How does it compare? Does it feel this same?

Cheers.

Feels very similar to me, with the only differences being improvements. E.g. a much better cable, more subtle design, the sides are now plastic and not rubber (so won't break down) and the overall build feels more solid.

I got one, but I'm not entirely happy with it.

The left and right buttons are completely different. The right clicks at about 1mm, the left at about a 10th of that.

Is yours similar?

Actually thinking that someone may have opened this, put it back it back together and returned it.
For a start the seal on the box was barely sticky, the sticker on the bottom isn't flat and the left side is slightly raised.

Or is that just the build quality to expect these days? I knew I should have just bought some new feet for the old one!

Where did you buy it from exactly? A lot of dodgy stuff happens with the likes of the rainforest company when it comes to returns.

I briefly owned a Legendary but returned it, it felt excellent coming from an original MX518 but I decided to go for a G402 for a fraction of the cost instead.

I bought mine direct from Logitech, not amazon if that's useful to know. I hoped that Logitech themselves were least likely to be selling returns/dodgy stock lol

Mistakes can happen, and there's some pretty clever people out there that do those sorts of things.

A buddy of mine once bought an SSD (not from OCUK mind), this is a few years ago but the thing set him back almost £300. It turned up still in the plastic wrap/seal, he was super excited to get it out of the box and into his rig. So he opens it up and there's a bag of rice inside, clearly someone had returned the item 'as new' after having opened and resealed it with the added rice to give it a bit of weight.

Luckily he got it sorted out, but as I said it's surprising what can happen even with reputable companies.

Yes, that rainforest place

Will be returning it, I did check the serial number on the Logitech site and is legit but good plan... I think I will buy from Logitech!

It is really nice, lovely and smooth but the left mouse button isn't right and I've just realised why I'm struggling with it.
The switch is clearly too high up but it has no resistance at all. I can rest my finger on the right button, but not on the left so I'm constantly clicking it by accident.
It also makes oddly tricky to double click!

Anyone know where I can get some 518 skates which don't cost £8 + £6 postage and will arrive late August
