Can the Logitech G5's sensitivity buttons be re-programmed to a different key? (e.g. to F5).

Yes, you can program any of the keys, also the middle button works as 3 since you can click it on top as well as from left and right side which gives you fast extra buttons.

i have the G7, it's my first gaming grade mouse and i was very impressed. the batteries tend to run out quickly but thats when i game for hours on end. but it comes with 2 batteries and a charging dock for the battery so your never without a fully-charged battery. ;) the max DPI is 2000, and it has 3 presets that you can define, think you can have 5 in total so you can change the DPI with a mouse click. also like mentioned before, the scroll button leans left and right and there is a back button on the side which i couldnt live without for web browsing. :P i'd recommend it to any gamer/enthusiast. :)

I'd never get another wireless mouse since the MX700 fiasco.

Had 2 of them and they were fine at first... but after a while it got increasingly difficult to charge them up. The metal contacts became faded and you had to spend ages wiggling them about in the charger to get them to charge.

Both of them are now just lying in a box. Crap.

^ Logitech usually offer pretty good support and may be able to send you a replace. Try contacting them. They usually don't ask for receipts etc but I may be wrong.

Yup, both of my MX700 went the same way, the G7 on the other hand was just an awesome piece of kit.
