I've had my Logitech MX700 (wireless, optical 800dpi, cordless, rechargeable) for 4 or 5 years now and it's showing it's age both in the extremely worn mouse and unreliability of the charger.

I'm thinking about getting the Razer Copperhead (Chaos Green) mouse, but I'm concerned about going from wireless back to wired.

Is it worth going back to wired or is it a case of once wireless you just can't go back?

I don't want to spend £30 odd on a mouse to find I can't get on with it! Back in the day my MX700 was the best part of £70

My MX700's charger recently died and I've been using a wired mouse while I decide what to get and its not actually bothered me so much so that I'm also considering going back to wired as some of the wireless options seems a little pricey to me.

I've got a DeathAdder myself and I can say it is amazing :o

Played UT2004 last night and did some serious killing :D

800DPI to 2000 is a big jump. I keep mine at 1600 :) Deathadder is worth the money more than the copperhead although i bought a copperhead anyway.

I play a lot of UT2004 as well ;)

I dunno what it is about it... I just prefer the DeathAdder.

I just installed it last night... need a desk then I can start playing it properly :p

my razer Diamondback has been with me for about 3 years now i think might be less but anyway it has never let me down, accuracy is Perfect and the looks is still nice, although the rubber parts on the side have gone a bit yellow.

Well, it arrived today, sooner than predicted!

It was a bit of a pig to get working under Linux properly, mainly because of no clear HOWTO anywhere.

I was worried about going from wireless to wired but I needn't have been, this mouse is a dream to use, very quick, accurate and good in the hand.
