My 17" MacBook Pro has arrived.

Admittedly it takes a while to learn OS X if you've come from a long line of Windows machines.. Once you do learn though. Wow.

You'll be throwing away that XP CD when you discover the true beauty of the OS. I really can't see why you'd prefer to use XP on these unless it was necessary for work.. waste of money tbh :p

The one thing I have to say about BootCamp is that its a real pain, in that there is no option to have it show by default- You have to hold down a key to get it. (Not at the Mac atm, but its one of the non-standard ones IIRC)
Give me Grub any day ;)

Choose boot drive via remote control

To select your Mac boot drive with the Apple Remote simply press the remotes “Menu” button just after you hear the startup chime of your Mac. Then when the startup drive selections appear use the “forward/backward” buttons to select the corresponding volume and then press “play” to boot from that volume.

Won't OS X 10.5 be out in September? It might have virtualization software built in which will be nice.

Leopard will be out towards the end of the year with Bootcamp (or whatever they might change its name to) as a full feature along with some form of garbage collection (memory management).

(Lynx and Cougar have also been trademarked for future releases...)

TBH, 99% of the time I have ever needed an app, there is one for mac. There is cases where there are programs for mac but none for Windows. It just takes time to look.

Enjoy your Mac Book Pro, great peice of kit!

1 inch. Find something 1" thick and its as thick as that.

BTW, someone mentioned removing the languages as a space saving trick... it is, but read this first before installing Bootcamp:
