i dont normally rant on here but this has really p!""£d me off.

i ordered a Asus ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB GDDR3 from a website (competitor).

took over a week to deliver and when i got it this morning i got this http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-385.shtml

totality different from the one i ordered.

i wanted to go crossfire and wanted the exact same card.

so i phoned this company and after 25 mins of being pushed around different departments i was told i had the same card !

this ended in a heated argument over the phone to which i could not get my point over that the card on there website was the one i ordered and the card i got this morning was not.

and to top it all of it was a oem card with the content's wrapped in bubble wrap.

even on there website it said there was x amount of item's with the card and not even they were in the box.

now i have to wait for them to reply to a mail i sent them about the 7 day selling act to which the man on the phone said i was not entitled to.

sorry for ranting but there was no one about to vent my anger.

The copypasta you've presented is unbranded. Aren't "unbranded" GFX cards just random ones from the stock?

the card i got is a msi and i wanted a Asus ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB GDDR3.

the man on the phone said it was the same but i said it was not as it was a different company altogether.

came someone put me straight about this.

did i get a totally different card ?

I remember being a huge Call of Duty fan and when COD4 came out I had it on Pre-order for weeks.

It finally arrived 2 weeks after release date but unfortunately they had sent the X-box version instead of the PC.

To make matters worse for once my local belgian store had the game on release day IN ENGLISH :(

Still was easy to sell the xbox version and just buy the game.
 
I was under the impression that you should be able to run these cards together, albeit at the speed of the slower of the 2 cards? I thought all the difference was was sometimes a few extra Mhz on the clocks of the better branded ones?

Is this not the case? I am sure I have an XFX 7900GT and an OEM 7900GT running SLi'd in my desktop PC.
 
Regardless of whether it works it is a misdescribed product which is covered under sale of goods act. And even if it wasn't then the 7 days Distance Selling Act also covers his situation.
