My 3080ti causing my "problems"?

the thing is, sometimes when I boot up Windows, the wattage and usage drop right down..is it still possible for these variations to happen randomly with two screens, at different boot up times??

2 Screens stops it from going into power saving mode. Maybe sometimes it takes a while for it to detect the second screen or you have one switched off sometimes.

If you are using 2 screens it will use more power than normal as standard. I don't know why it does this as theoretically 2 screens should be no different to once screen with minimal difference especially as a desktop. Gaming then obviously more pixels means more power but not desktop.

OK, thanks for all the help guys..

I mean its running fine, in desktop or gaming..so I will keep an eye on it, but as long as I wont damage my card etc. im overly fussed.

At the end of the day, its a four year warranty, Gigabyte so UK based, so not he end of the world. :)

Be careful re Gigabyte right now - After a hack, they lost all their support data and its still a mess!

Just installed Project Cars 3 and had a quick go (just to make sure my XBOX controller was working with the PC ok, in prep for FH5) and when I finished and quit the game, my GPU and MEMORY is maxing out, EVEN under low usage?

I wish I didnt have AfterBurner installed as my paranoia always gets the best of me!

I'm willing to bet you are running a whole host of programs that use hardware acceleration.

Chrome, Discord, Epic Games Store, Battlenet, etc. You have to literally shut down everything every single application.

cheers sonny. If that’s the case and is normal, I will let sleeping dogs lie.
