Due to timings we couldn't get another Cadwell weekend day (or any other decent track on a Saturday with Javelin in the near future) - this actually replaces our Cadwell day that was snowed off in Feb.

Itching to do Bedford/Snetterton/Brands/Cadwell/Oulton, and might do some evening sessions this year. If anyone has any open owners club track days, let me know!

im a fan of e36's, especially ones in stock trim, i have a dislike towards the 4 pots though

I think the big thing people are forgetting here is to be fast round a track you need ot be quick round corners... this e36 has really taken shape over the years and is now really rather impressive. You need hillariously large power differences to make up ground on straights at the track, so your best chance is through corners..

While I agree would a 328i not be a better starting point ?
Edit I'm assuming this is all on a budget hence no m3 as a suggestion

You can slide about, but takes more effort in a 318 than an M3

Brakes are stock with braided lines. The 318iS uses the same brakes as the 328, so are designed for 192bhp and more weight. My 318 has less weight than standard, so they work pretty well on the track.

I may have to replace the brake lines/fluid/pads on mine then as they don't seem great when pushed hard, certainly not after my 200sx. Which chip did you go for btw and does it make a noticable difference?
