Hey guys i overclocked my i7 920 to 3.6ghz this is my first time doing this so bear with me.

I did a stress test for one hour using prime95 also had speedfan to check the temp my cpu was sitting at 66c full load (100%) and 41c normal load. Is it safe to leave it at that and consider it a success?

Im using this as my cpu cooler http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=771&type=expert&pid=1

Do you think i could try and increase it more?

Settings are

CPU Ratio: 18
BLCK Freq: 200
PCIE Freq : 100
Dram : 1600

CPU Voltage : 1.35
CPU PPL Volt : 1.9
QPI/Dram : 1.35
IO Volt :1.14
DRAM bus voltage : 1.6

Plenty you can do.

CPU voltage is way too high for such a mild OC, you should be looking more towards 1.25v. CPU PPL should be at 1.8v(stock). QPI is dependent on your RAM but could also come down.

As for stress testing, that is nowhere near enough to presume safe. You want to do at least 8 hours on Prime or about 100 cycles on IBT/LinX. IBT is usually more effective at stressing a CPU, it is much faster and more aggressive.
