My accident at the gym

Last night I was doing my usual workout at the gym. I set the treadmill for 12km/h and started running.
Shortly after starting, my iPod fell out of my pocket and landed on the side of the treadmill. In my haste to save it, I stopped running and attempted to pick it up, neglecting to stop the treadmill first.
You can guess what happened next.

The result was me, spread-eagled on my back, behind the treadmill with the whole gym laughing at me.

The woman who was on the cross trainer behind me exclaimed that she had seen people do that in comedy TV programmes and in films but never in real life.

Think I'll stick to running outside from now on.

Even before I opened this thread, I knew it would be a treadmill-related calamity. Top marks. :D

Only seen a similar thing happen once, and it was a girl that fell and caught her chin on the bar, then got propelled into a pot plant. Must. Not. Laugh.

At least you are well enough to laugh about it :)

ok some of you are going to cringe at some of the accidents i've had but this is my fav:

I had strapped my dumbells to my wrists which were quite heavy. I picked them up, and sat down at the edge of a bench. Now the bench had been reapired that day and i sat on a very large wood screw which went though my buttocks and into the bone. The extra weight didn't help.

When i stood up, the bench came up with it until it fell off!!!! ouch!

"Damn it", I said in a light tone

You can imagine all the stick i got - i've heard them all LOL
