My afternoon Project

Haha, that works pretty well. DIY camera gear is pretty fun to make.

I just made a shoulder mount for video and am in the process of making a hot shoe shock mount for a mic.

Edit: Pic! I'll try it out tomorrow.

Great photos bud. My mum brought a small white tent for photographing her jewellery. Does the same thing as your box which probably cost not even 1/2 of what the tent cost, lol

Haha cool yea thinking of making improvements to it. Maybe a bigger box/Perspex for the bottom.

The sigma is great haven't had much of a chance to get out with it yet though :(

I'm a beginner really so maybe there is a better way of finding what settings to use but I was just going for it and playing around.

This is THE best way of learning IMHO keep adjusting your settings til you get what you want and it'll stick in your head for next time.

Awesome results there. Did yous do any PP on these? As you can see mine had a grey tinge to the background and both of you guys have a more white.

In PS dodge is your friend. Play around with the exposure toggle on the dodge panel and play with brush hardness til you find where your comfortable, the closer you get to the subject bring your brush down really quite soft so you don't have horrible hard edges or haloing. I like this way of working.

Love the nifty one of the best lens I have (out of 4) haha

I'm after the 1.2L <3
